Welcome to my new fancy website and blog. Time to move my 5 years of French teaching to a new level. I am looking forward to a great new year of teaching French to Tasmanians, and bringing a bit of the world a bit closer to our island home. For those of you who are new to my classes, I offer tailored international French classes. I am a born and bred Tasmanian who ran away to the other side of the world and married my Frenchman. I studied French at UQÀM (université de Québec à Montréal), completing the major. I then opened an auberge (guesthouse) in the beautiful Old City of Montréal and met every French accent on earth in person. Our guests were largely French and there is a book or three in there recounting some of the stories. I returned to Tasmania in 2010 and have been sharing my delight in and passion for the French language with my students since. I delight in identifying which student struggles to wrap their mouths around the sounds but grasps the structure of the grammar, which student is weighed down with the grammar but swoons with the poetry and which student just knows how to hold their nose in a French way, be damed with the rest. I invite you to join me for classes this year, it will be my pleasure to work with students wherever they are in their French language foray.
Au plaisir de vous rencontrer.
